Meet our team at Essentials Beauty & Health Clinic
In order to give you the best possible service, and to stay at the front of industry developments, all our staff are fully qualified therapists and all undertake further training to update and extend their qualifications. Everyone likes doing the variety of the treatments offered at Essentials Beauty & Health Clinic (we would get bored doing the same treatment all day, every day!) but we all have some treatments that we may consider as ‘favourites’. Our aim is to make every visit to us a wonderful experience, giving you ‘uncommonly good’ service and leaving you feeling better than when you arrived – be that physically or emotionally.
As well as owning the salon, Pat is a working complementary therapist. She specialises in using forearm massage, but loves any of the other complementary therapies too. Apart from working in the salon, Pat has also done Corporate massage and has taught complementary therapy and counselling skills.
She has been involved in cat rescue for over 35 years and so shares her home with assorted cats! Other than the rescue work, outside of work, Pat loves reading, especially books that are, or are based on, ‘true life’. She likes walking (including helping walk a friends 2 Rottweilers) and loves the sunshine!
Stacy is our senior therapist and salon manager. She has lots of experience having previously worked in salons, Spas, on board cruise ships and teaching beauty courses. Her passion is skin care (although she too loves waxing and says it’s difficult to pick out favourites as she likes doing all the treatments). She has bags of energy and ideas!.
She lives with her husband, Jack, and their rescue dog, Rosie. Outside of work she likes reading – her favourite author is Sophie Kinsella – and she likes shopping …. Her favourite musical is ‘Blood Brothers’.
Liz is one of our senior therapists, an experienced therapist who joined our team having previously worked at other salons and spas. She likes the variety of the treatments we offer, as well as the fact we are busy and have a great team!
Liz is another of the team who loves reading (accompanied by a cuppa!) – her favourite books are romance novels, especially those by Danielle Steel. She also loves clothes shopping and volunteering with children doing rock climbing!! She is married to Dan.
Chloe, our other senior therapist, joined us from a city centre salon, where she had worked her way up from ‘Saturday girl’ to Senior therapist. She was looking for ‘a new and exciting opportunity’ with the chance to offer a larger range of therapies and be part of a larger team. Like the rest of the team, she is an animal lover and has cat at home, called Alfie.
Outside of work, Chloe likes horse riding and going out for nice meals and meeting up with friends. Her favourite books and films are the Harry Potter series, and she also likes reading books by Adele Parks and Jojo Moyles. She has taken up running again, though at present can’t say she actually enjoys it! Her hair regularly changes colour so you never know what it will be when you arrive! 🙂
Sara is beauty qualified as well as a qualified nail technician, so loves everything to do with nails and nail art. See our Facebook page for some of her fantastic work shown there. She trained after leaving her former job and having a complete change of career!
Sara lives with her fiance, Nathan, their little girl Ivy, and 2 cats, Poppy and Piper. Outside of work, when she has time, she likes going to the cinema – her favourite films are ‘anything Disney’ She also says she is a ‘foodie’!
Milly has always had a passion for beauty and loves all the treatments she does. She has joined us from a quieter salon as she wanted a busier and faster paced environment. She enjoys the variety in her treatments and getting to know her clients.
Milly is a ‘family girl’ and likes to spend time with her friends going out for meals and shopping mostly! In her spare time you’ll find her walking her springer spaniel Jackson or engrossed in a Jody Picout novel.
Norma is our visiting acupuncturist and Reiki therapist, carrying out both traditional needle acupuncture as well as ‘needle free’ acupuncture as well as other treatments such as taping, gua sha and Bowen. She is self employed and available most days by prior arrangement.
She has considerable previous experience as a nurse and midwife. Norma also ‘does’ cat rescue, at the moment having 3 cats in her care until a permanent loving home can be found for them. She is another member of the team who loves reading and learning!
